Who We Are
The IEEE Connecticut Section Life Members Affinity Group (LMAG–CT
Chapter) brings together experienced IEEE members who have made significant
contributions to engineering, technology, and education. Under the leadership of
Dr. Hemchandra Shertukde, Ph.D., P.E., DMS, LSMIEEE, the 2025 Executive
Committee continues to promote professional growth, mentorship, and knowledge
sharing among senior IEEE members.

Our mission is to encourage continued involvement of Life Members in IEEE
activities, support the local engineering community, and foster collaboration across academia, industry, and research sectors in Connecticut and beyond.

Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continued contribution of Life Members to IEEE initiatives and societal advancement.

Hemchandra Shertukde - University of Hartford
Dr. Shertukde is presently a tenure Full Professor since 1995 at the University of Hartford.
He has published more than 40+ books as an author, co-author, collections editor or editor for different publishing houses.
Recently he founded his own publishing company : DDI Publishing in January of 2025. His latest two solo books were published by this publishing house.
All his 13 solo books are on Amazon.com
He has five patents three of which are commercialized.

He has received four IEEE Awards for his activities with the EAB and SA Boards in 2018, the centennial year of IEEE in NJ and PA. Awards were bestowed by IEEE- PES-CT Chapter, IEEE-TC
He has raised more than $10 mm for his companies and in 2004 received $4 mm for his patented product CADSCAN invented by him and his wife Rekha Shertukde, CAO of DDI and AngioScan LLC
